  Luna Rosa used to be one of my family's favorite places to go in Delray Beach for the last 7 years - I did a credit card search and we have spent north of $6,000.00 there in that period. It used to be great. The key word is - used to be.
  
  The only thing it still has is location and view. In my opinion a restaurant needs to be about food, service, value, and location - in that order. If you read reviews, Luna Rosa is increasingly getting of late many 1-Star reviews to mix in with its excellent past reviews. These are much more reflective of the true rating of this establishment in my opinion.
  
  The place has essentially, especially for breakfast (the most often meal we eat there) become a tourist trap accompanied by an extra serving of rude management and waiters. Well, let me correct that and say that it's not quite a typical tourist trap because the portions are much smaller and much more expensive (think currently average about $90.00 for breakfast for 4 people) than most tourist traps, with an increasing emphasis by the owners of trying to push smaller portions and higher prices to an extreme.
  
  While in the seasonal months Luna Rosa will stay crowded due to the tourist trade, local patrons such as ourselves are well aware that come May, June, July, and August Luna Rosa is almost empty because of the fall off of local support in recent years. Luna Rosa is really doing everything it can to turn itself from the consistently rated top restaurant in Delray Beach, and those reading this review years from now will come to agree, a poor choice. In my opinion they will "succeed" in running it into the ground.
  
  Do you think we have not noticed the 4 "new" menus in the last 2 years where the only "new" thing was substantial price hikes?
  Do you think we have not noticed that you are so cheap that you changed from normal portions to giving a single slice of toast cut in half with breakfast?
  Do you think we have not noticed how you have cut down on the side order portions of bacon, ham, potatoes, and everything else?
  Do you think we have not noticed when you abandon giving orange slices with meals to save money?
  Do you think we do not notice when your beyond tiny bathrooms are dirty and lack stock of with necessities?
  How about a new outdoor "smoking section" literally 3 feet from your table?
  We notice.
  
  So if people, you want those eggs, a single slice of toast cut in half, a thinly sliced piece small piece of ham, and some orange juice with a view for about $24.00 this is your place. Be sure to also add a serving of the new "manager" that has his unearned position purely because of marrying the daughter of the owner, taking the place of any actual restaurant or customer service experience. If you have a legitimate issue, he will literally tell you - "not to tell him how to run his restaurant" and emphasize he does not care about customer satisfaction, quality, service, customer loyalty, or reviews. Don't worry - we won't be back - and come the summer when you are surveying the vast emptiness look no farther then what you have become.

  Had eggs benedict on Canadian bacon side of pancakes with bananas. It was delicious, reasonably priced with busy but very attentive service. I was there at the height of the lunch rush. This place earns gets 5 stars!

  The worst experience in my life eating at this restaurant tonight!! The service was horrible and the manager was a nasty pig. Do not eat here if you are looking for good service with a happy atmosphere.

  We met friends in Delray after a great weekend in Miami. They suggested Luna Rosa for great Italian. The food was AMAZING!!! Pasta cooked perfectly. Very fresh seafood (I had the amalfitana pasta with clams, calamari, mussels etc). Possibly the best seafood pasta dish I have ever had. I would fly back for the weekend just to eat here. I am not kidding. Highly recommend.
